Announcing memberships for the podcast

We’ve been doing this podcast for over five years, and in that time, we’ve had a number of you ask how you can support the show. Your listenership has been the greatest form of support you can give, and it remains one of the most important reasons that we’ve kept up with the podcast and released at least one episode weekly since we started.

Many of you have also asked if there are other ways you can support the show, and today we’re excited to announce that we’re launching memberships for the podcast. When you become an MS Cloud IT Pro Podcast member, you’ll get access to exciting bonus content while directly supporting the show.

Your support helps us to keep making this podcast each week.

When you become a member, you’ll get access to the following perks:

  • Access to the MS Cloud IT Pro Podcast Members Discord
  • Listen in and chat live during recording each week
  • Access to the Two the Cloud live streams on YouTube
  • Access to the Two the Cloud live stream archive

Membership is $5 USD/mo and you can cancel anytime. If you’d like to support the show through a monthly payment, but do not want access to Discord or care about YouTube, we also have a $3 USD/mo tier. Or you can always buy one (or both of us) a coffee with a one-time contribution.

If you would like to become a member and learn more about these options, you can do so at https://www.msclouditpropodcast.com/membership/.

FAQ

  1. Does the introduction of membership mean the show is changing?
Nope. We’re still going to be releasing weekly. Membership is a way for you to show your support for the show and help us offset the costs of running the podcast.
  2. Do I need to become a member to continue to listen to the show?
Nope. This show will always remain free and we appreciate you listening.
  3. What will my monthly membership pay for?
Your membership will directly contribute to the ongoing production costs of the podcast. We have a website, a hosting plan for the MP3s you listen to in your podcatcher of choice, and an editor who produces the audio for each episode.
  4. What is the Two the Cloud channel on YouTube? Is the podcast going away?
No, the podcast is not going away. When we started this podcast, it was audio-only and it has remained that way over the years. We have dabbled in doing the podcast on YouTube, but with the short format and the content of the podcast, it never stuck. In hindsight, the podcast itself did not make much sense for YouTube. That being said, we wanted a dedicated place where we could do videos and show off features in Azure and Microsoft 365 as we talk and learn about them together. Our Two the Cloud channel offers you an opportunity to follow along as we get hands-on with new and existing features in the platforms we discuss each week. We will be live streaming once a month and your membership provides exclusive access to the live streams and the full/uncut videos if you want to go back and watch them later. And of course, with access to Discord, you’ll have a forum to make direct requests to us for content you’d like to see on YouTube or hear on the podcast.
  5. Wasn’t access to Discord free? I’m already a member of the Discord server but I do not want to become a member. Am I going to get kicked out?
Nope. You are grandfathered in for the life of the Discord server. As some of our earliest members on the server, we appreciate your continued interaction and look forward to your continued participation in our community.
  6. What if I have a question not listed above?
Feel free to reach out anytime via our contact form and ask your question and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
